If you currently live in the Atlanta area you already know how popular it is. For those of you that don’t it has over 400,000 people in it, that’s a huge number but if you look at that like a business person that’s a huge sum of cash.

Picture this you driving in concession trailers in Atlanta and actually selling your product. No you don’t have to be some genius to do this either. You will need a license but after that you just need to know how to count cash, or have a good working cash register.

Most of the time people hear the word concession trailers in Atlanta and immediately think food but what about some other uses for this. Try brainstorming for a second and see what else you can come up with for a fair:

- emergency services because someone is always getting lost or hurt. If you make this a shop for everyone it’ll be perfect. You can even have smaller goodies off to the side if someone wants to purchase say a first aid kit or fingerprint kit.

- ear piercing/tattoos are a big thing at fairs, especially when they are temp. Ear piercing you might find is huge with new moms and little girls.

- photo taking for the event because everyone will want to remember the time they had

- newstand/magazines because you never know when it will rain.

Of course you still have your candy, hot dog, pizza and drinks but those were just a few ideas that you can do besides food and drinks.

It is a close race, one that likely will not result in deep price cutting to move models, but is certain nevertheless to be on the minds of executives employed by two automakers until the clock strikes midnight for the final time this year. What the race is all about is this: the perennial sales battle between two German automakers, BMW and Mercedes, with BMW expected to pass Mercedes in world sales totals for 2005. The ramifications are strong for each automaker and will set the tone for the way each company produces and markets vehicles from 2006 forward.

Mercedes finishing second to BMW is not a comfortable taste for DaimlerChrysler, parent of Mercedes and now owner of The Chrysler Group, maker of Jeeps, Dodges, and Chryslers. Only Volkswagen sells more cars than either make, but when it comes to a predominately luxury line up Mercedes and BMW battle alone amongst German makes with Audi a distant third.

Unlike American automakers, Mercedes is not likely to engage in deep price cuts to attract customers and “steal” sales that they would have made in 2006 for 2005 to stave off BMW. Still, purchasers of Mercedes vehicles should find an even friendlier showroom in which to shop when they negotiate the price on their “C”, “E”, or “M” Classes of vehicles.

So, exactly what has caused the shift in sales? Well, published reports indicate that Mercedes sales continue to rise, but slowly. On the other hand, BMW sales increases are in the double digit category which is what has pushed BMW ahead of Mercedes so far this year. Oddly, it isn’t the luxury cars in each automakers’ fold that is spelling the difference. Unknown to many Americans, both BMW and Mercedes sell cars that are smaller and less luxurious than the cars that appear in the states. Cars that compete squarely against Volkswagen’s Golf and offerings from GM, Ford, several Japanese automakers, and others.

Yes, it is true. Not all BMW or Mercedes models are luxury cars. Unlike in the US where a Cadillac is exclusively a luxury car, both German brands produce cars for the rank and file driver too. It is these types of cars that have fueled both automakers growth and is likely behind BMW jumping ahead of Mercedes.

To counter BMW’s surge, Mercedes does have an ace up its sleeve: the introduction of one or two smaller lines of cars to the U.S. market by 2007. If you haven’t figured it out yet, Mercedes has “A” and “B” Class cars that are smaller and less expensive than the current “baby” Mercedes, what we call the “C” Class. Mercedes hopes that the US market is ready for less pricey cars sporting the venerable Mercedes name and that these sales will propel Mercedes back into the lead.

Of course, what is good for Mercedes is good for BMW as the automaker explores bringing its “1″ and “2″ series cars to the US to compete for sales. Both lines of cars are positioned against Mercedes “A” and “B” class cars and are the same cars that have bumped BMW’s sales figures up.

Now if only Mercedes would consider importing it’s SMART car to the US market…

Ever since the first car was made manufacturers and tuners have been producing literature to promote their products.

One of the most interesting aspects of collecting auto brochures is that they provide a unique social history of the time they were produced.

For example if you have a brochure for a Volkswagen Beetle from the 1960’s you will find information about the time in which it was produced like hairstyles, clothing and popular decor of the time.

Add to this, the fact that most brochures can be bought inexpensively and take up little space to store (unless you get obsessed!) you have the basis for a popular and rewarding hobby.

However, as with all collecting there are many ways (especially as a beginner) that you can come “unstuck” and end up spending your hard earned money on inferior, fake or incomplete brochures.

Over the coming weeks, amongst other things I will cover the purchase, safe-keeping and suggested themes for brochure collections and provide an analysis of a number of my favourite brochures both expensive and in one case commonly available for less than £4 or $8!

Hopefully you will find my articles both a valuable resource and one that improves your knowledge of this area of collecting.

Having developed a business from my hobby of brochure collecting, I wanted to pass the information I have taken years to obtain onto the worldwide web.

If anyone would like information or help in developing an automobilia collection, by all means e-mail me.

With the recent increase in fuel prices, here is something I
noticed- People will drive across town to save a few pennies on
the gallon. I was one of those people! Then, I was introduced by
a friend of mine to this little green pill that enhances fuel,
thus increases gas mileage.

So, how do the pills work?

The gas pills have the property of modifying the fuel’s
molecular structure and liberating the energy contained within.

* This is achieved by Brownian motion which consists on the
molecular movement of the components of the polymeric chains
contained in hydrocarbons. Because the gas pills are a catalyst,
they are capable of speeding or retarding a chemical reaction,
without breaking down or changing the chemical reaction and
producing a transformation which modifies the molecules. The
result is the liberation of the total energy contained within.

* The main property of fuels is the heat value, or the quantity
of energy that the fuel liberates during combustion.

* The volatility or evaporation of a liquid fuel is determined
by the air/vapor ratio that can be achieved at a given
temperature. This is the result of the FLASH POINT (the
temperature at which the quantity of vapor is enough to form a
mixture of air and flammable fuel). Each type of combustible has
a different flammable point according to the norm ASTM D92-52
and D93.

* Now, when lowering the flash point temperature, one can obtain
a DEW POINT, with more evaporation, achieving an air and fuel
mix with a bigger energy saturation. This produces more heat
value with less combustible and a better and more complete
combustion mix. The effect of the gas pills allows to diminish
the combustion point increasing the concrete characteristics of
evaporation that all fuels have at normal pressure and
temperature. This is why we obtain a FLASH POINT at a lower
temperature, increasing the amount of burning gases.

* The enzymatic catalyst has countless applications in the food,
textile, paper, alcohol, organic, chemical and other industries.
Its manufacturing is especially designed for liquid
petroleum-based fuels.

* The gas pills have the property of modifying the physical
state of these fuels, accelerating the breaking of molecular
connections.

Benefits to the Environment

* The use of the gas pills in diesel and gasoline increases the
production of carbon dioxide (perfect combustion) and it
diminishes the production of carbon monoxide (incomplete
combustion) reducing the environmental pollution generated by
carbon monoxide. This way, smoke and gas emissions are reduced
by more than 50%, gradually eliminating the formation of
suspended particles.
